Busy Bee..

I have been busy for the past few weeks, so I did not have any time to update my blogs. In the past few weeks many things of national importance have happened. The much hyped but under-performing Indian cricket team was back earlier than expected from the cricket world cup 2007 edition. Nobody expected Indian team to progress beyond the Super Eight, but we did not expect to get knocked out at the Group Stage itself. Anyways, there was a small show conducted by BCCI trying to impose itself. Its like after allowing the child to grow up, now you want to change his manners by arm twisting, which will be resisted by full force. But something had to give up, and now we hope this shall be the beginning to take the Indian cricket team to new heights.

Also, the supreme court has put a stay order on the issue of the Quota. This has wrecked havoc in many of the human resource ministry's plans. This was supposed to be a much touted move by the government to improve the condition of the so called Backward Castes. The main reason for such a move was pure politics. It is a well known fact that, most (not everybody) who join through the quota are not that competent and this will lead to the decrease in the quality of the output from these elite institutions.

One major development occurring in the science field has been the International Panel of Climatic Change's report on the impact of industrialization on the climate. Positively, humans have contributed mainly to the global warming. The raise in the temperature is more than the expected value and shall continue to increase exponentially if proper steps are not taken to contain it.
